It’s a very first-world problem: The bag of lemons is cheaper, but how can you possibly use that many before they rot? Deep down, you know there must be a better way.
There is. Juice ’em! Lemon or lime juice is quick and easy to use for tons of great make-ahead recipes. It lasts for several days or up to a week in the fridge, and can hold up for months in the freezer. (Divide your juice in an ice cube tray, freeze, and use what you need when you need it.) Guacamole! Salad dressing! Chicken Piccata! Cocktails!
A heartfelt thanks to our ever-thrifty friend Craig for sparking this idea. In his honor, we will be having homemade margaritas tonight.
